Sarah C. Meyer was born in 1992 in Schleswig-Holstein. At the age of 17, she left her family to move to the Vogtland “Musikwinkel” region. At the vocational school for instrument making in Klingenthal, she completed her training as a violin maker under the guidance of Lothar Sandner and Sven Gerbeth, successfully qualifying as a journeyman.
Since 2013, the young violin maker has been independently travelling from workshop to workshop, working in exchange for board and lodging with various makers in order to further her training. Her instruments are distinguished by a high level of craftsmanship and precision.
