Masterfully Crafted Italian Viola from the Late 20th Century
A fine example of a modern Italian instrument crafted in the latter half of the 20th century. This viola represents the craftsmanship typical of northern Italy during this period. The back is constructed from two pieces of semi-slab-cut maple, exhibiting predominantly horizontal grain patterns, while the sides and scroll are crafted from similar wood. The top consists of two pieces of spruce with a narrow grain that widens towards the edges. Adorned with a reddish-orange varnish over a yellow base, this viola boasts a visually striking appearance. The size of the viola is 415 mm.
